CARVE SOME CURVES ON THE ARCELLE SKI RUN

Don’t miss the Arcelle run in the Solaise ski area. It’s over 2 km long and takes you down the Vallée du Manchet with views of the Rocher du Charvet.
Carving fanatics will love the 691-metre descent – great for throwing a few turns.
It’s a wide run and you can stop and admire the views as and when you feel like it. You’re right on the edge of the Vanoise National Park, with the Roche des Fours on your left.
How do I get to it?
Starting from the snow front, take the Solaise gondola lift (10-seater cabins with heated seats and free WiFi). Then follow the Pim Pam magic carpets until you get the Madeleine detachable chairlift. When you get to the top, stop for a moment to take in the view (see our top pick link “Viewpoint at the top of the Madeleine chairlift”). Head down the top part of the green run, and then take the Arcelle on the left before you get to the Manchet chairlift.
Our advice
Good to know: experienced skiers might like to try the natural black run the other side of the Manchet > Marmottons chairlift.
